Metrocare Services

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services includes traditional outpatient services such as evaluation, medication, monitoring, counseling, and skills development for children, who are experiencing symptoms of emotional disturbance. Metrocare also offers intensive services through our outpatient clinics with a focus on young children and children and adolescents at risk of removal from their homes.

Services include:

– Early Childhood Intervention
– Mental Health Care including Military Family & Children
– Pharmacy Services
– Primary Health Care
– Texas Corrections Office of Offenders with Medical and/or Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI): provides therapeutic intervention and supervision to youth and adults on probation/parole.
– Youth Empowerment Services Waiver: Waiver that allows for more flexibility in the funding of intensive community-based services to assist children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances to live in the community with their families.

Please call us for more information on any of these services.

Services are available to anyone, although most of our consumers are members of a state-sponsored plan (NorthSTAR, Medicaid, or Medicare) or have private insurance. Some private pay patients are seen on a sliding fee scale based on the person’s ability to pay. The Metrocare Plan is an abbreviated set of services offered at a discounted rate for clients who do not qualify for public assistance.
