Support: United Way, contributions, Dallas Area Agency on Aging, Corporation for National and Community Service, foundations, corporations, special events, city, and state

Volunteer Services: Sponsors RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) which coordinates meaningful volunteer opportunities in nonprofit organizations for older adults. Facilitates intergenerational activities for seniors through the Foster Grandparent Program.

Our Rockers School Volunteer Program: Advocacy and Education Services: Engages in advocacy and public education activities related to aging issues through AGE (Advocacy Group for Elders), which includes a women’s issues specialist.

Assistance and Counseling Services: Administers an Elder Support Programm that provides care planning for older adults and their caregivers, and assistance with obtaining free prescription medication for low-income older adults. Handles nursing home complaint resolution and nursing home visitation through the Nursing Home Ombudsman Program. Administers the Senior Companion Program, in which older volunteers provide in-home companion and sponsors an employment resource and network for older adults. Recruits, trains and supports volunteers to manage the personal and/or financial affairs of vulnerably elderly, some of whom have determined to be incapacitated by probate courts through the Guardianship and Money Management Program.
