As the founder of The Rashidi Group, LLC, he has developed community-based social intervention programs addressing critical issues affecting children and families nationwide. His spoken word project, SPEAK – First Born Sun, is a dynamic fusion of R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Southern Blues, receiving acclaim from industry legends like Nile Rodgers.

Karl Berry is the visionary behind the Community Care Resource Council (CCRC). Once an All-American athlete and successful business executive, Karl spent 25 years battling addiction — a struggle that became the foundation of his mission-driven purpose. Now, with over 26 years in recovery, he leads CCRC with a passion for connecting underserved communities to critical support systems.
Karl is recognized as a master convener, bridging partnerships across governments, mental health services, and faith-based organizations. Whether he’s organizing community-wide summits or guiding families through crisis, Karl is driven by a deep calling to serve.
