Community Council of Greater Dallas provides leadership in moving individuals and families from surviving to thriving. We improve quality of life by alleviating poverty, fostering independence and wellness, and connecting people to the resources they need.

Community Council envisions vital communities which enable each individual to achieve his or her full potential:
– Vital communities in which individuals and families are stable and achieve economic security;
– Where people live healthy lives with maximum independence and resilience;
– And where people are engaged in building opportunities


How to Apply: Call for an appointment.

Support: Government contracts, foundation grants, churches, donations, and contributions.

Services: Action in identifying emerging social problems and unmet health and human service needs through research, evaluation, coordination, collaboration, information and referral, and direct services. Areas of focus include seniors, children and youth, health, advocacy, and information and referral. Home of the Dallas Area Agency on Aging, and 2-1-1 Texas Infoline. Works through community partners, publish the SourceBook, a bi-annual directory of services, and a bi-annual DFW nonprofit salary and benefits survey.
