DCAC coordinates a multidisciplinary team approach in response to allegations of severe child abuse in Dallas County.

DCAC provides a safe place for children and their families to begin the healing process after experiencing criminal child abuse or witnessing a violent crime.

DCAC believes education and training are among the community’s best defenses against those who seek to harm children.

How to Apply: Referred by Dallas Police Department or Child Protective Services

Support: Foundations, corporations, organizations, individual donations, and government funding

Services: An innovative approach to improve the treatment of child victims of sexual and physical abuse in Dallas County, the program offers a coordinated, multi-disciplinary intervention system involving agencies–police, prosecutors, child protective workers, therapists, and medical personnel–working together as a team in a single location to minimíze each child’s trauma, to provide immediate treatment and services and to ensure proper investigation of cases. Education and training about issues related to child abuse upon request.
